Instituto Kairos

An artisan community in Brazil.  The Kairos Institute fosters socio-economic development in the Macacos Community by promoting and improving local craft work. Kairos supports groups that sustain themselves through the reuse and recycling of local raw materials and responsible use of natural resources. www.institutokairos.org.br

 

Katherine Soucie

The artist invited EWMA to participate in The Living Blanket exhibition, which is an ever growing quilt made by women and women’s groups around the world, under the patronage of Mother of the Plaza de Mayo (Argentina).

Paola Bergamini

Paola is an artist and a volunteer at EWMA.  Paola’s brother Kako Bergamini, that contributes with illustrations to the program, has been nominated for three consecutive years as the Best Illustrator of the year in Brazil.  In Austria Kako was nominated as one of 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 2007-2008.  www.kakofonia.com
